In 2002, 18 young men and a few organizers participated in the Guys Like Us Retreat, the first of its kind.  It was a fabulous gathering of guys from all over the state.  This year will mark the 5th annual retreat and promises to be as fabulous as the first.  The goal is to support, promote and increase the physical, spiritual and emotional health of young gay and bisexual men as well as men who have sex with other men, but don't identify as gay or bisexual.  This event will also provide a chance for young men to talk about some of the specific HIV prevention needs that young gay and bisexual men have here in Maine.

The retreat will be held at Camp Kieve, located in Nobleboro, Maine from October 17-19, 2008.  The facility is located on and over looks Damariscotta Lake.  There is a large living room and several lounges for workshops and meetings.  Each bedroom has two twin beds, private bath, wardrobe and desk.  Each room has a spectacular view of the lake.

There is no cost to attend this retreat.  There will be a $25 travel reimbursement.  Carpooling is great and encouraged.
